Stock
Know every laptop by its serial
One record per machine with its branch, condition, battery health, cost and price. A serial can be held only once, so phantom stock never appears.
In short
LaptopERP keeps each laptop as its own stock record with serial, branch, condition (new or used), battery health, cost and selling price. A serial can be held only once; sold or sent-back serials can return as new records for buy-backs. Each unit's page shows its purchase, transfers, repairs, sale and returns.
What it fixes
“We entered the same serial twice”
Held-serial uniqueness: a duplicate check on create and edit, with spaces trimmed.
“Nobody knows if it's in transit, in Branch B, or sold”
Every move is on a numbered note and shows on the unit's page.

Unit history
A branch can't be closed while it holds stock
Worked example
A customer on the phone
“Do you have a used Core i5 with good battery at Mirpur?”
Three units come back, each with its own price.
- Branch: Mirpur
- Condition: Used
- CPU: Core i5
- Battery: 80% or more
Yes. A sold or sent-back serial can return as a new stock record, so a buy-back gets its own history.
